Ninfa garden has existed since the late 19th century, when the noble Caetani family took the land where the park now stands. Ninfa itself is part of an abandoned city since the Middle Ages.
City that has had 150 houses and seven churches, making stops pilgrims and traders before the civil war. "Ninfa not just a park, this place has a long history," said Lauro Marchetti to Roffredo Caetani Foundation, which is managing the park 70 kilometers from Rome, as quoted from The Age, Monday (06/03/2013).
Caetani mother, one who comes from England named Ada Wilbraham, was the inventor of Ninfa Gardens. He is a musician, who had the idea to add a waterfall in the park in order to create a beautiful melody in the middle of the park.
"At night, you would like to hear a concert in the middle of the park. Voice singing of birds and the flow of water to form beautiful melodies," said Marchetti.
Lots of flowers grown in the garden, accompanied the Roman ruins of the bridge into the path of the river inhabited by endangered trout and water flowers. The beauty of this park makes the writers love to visit it, as a place to look for inspiration.
Approximately 1,300 species living in the park's flowers, ranging from giant Rhubarbs of Cedar tree from Brazil to North Africa. You also can see the banana tree, tulip American, and Japanese Maple in this beautiful park.
To maintain its beauty, Ninfa Gardens just opened between April and November, just as the flowers are blooming. The park is visited by approximately 55 thousand visitors each year.
